Get an email every time a lead comes in

No Slack, no Teams, just the inbox you already check. This is the simple one.

Why this, if your form plugin already emails you

A form plugin's own notification tells you a form was filled in. This tells you which ad, search, or post produced it, and it fires for phone clicks too, which no form plugin can see at all.

Setting it up

01

Open the Zap template and connect Gmail

Use the embed below, or open the template directly on Zapier. Connect Lead Recorder as the trigger and your Gmail account as the action.

02

Build the subject and body

Subject: "New lead: {{nameField}}". Body: source, campaign, landing page, device, and city, in whatever order reads best to you.

03

Set up a filter and a label

In Gmail, create a filter that matches the sender and applies a label, so new-lead emails don't get lost in Promotions or a busy inbox.

04

Send a test lead

Submit a form or click-to-call on your own site and confirm the email lands, labeled, with everything filled in.

What catches people out

What catches people out

Sending to yourself can land in Promotions, or thread oddly. Gmail sometimes treats automated mail from your own address as bulk or bundles it into an existing thread. A filter that labels these emails (rather than relying on the inbox tab they land in) keeps them visible.
