What this connection does
Every time Lead Recorder logs a new lead, a Zap creates a page in a Notion database you choose, with the name, contact details, and source already filled in. No copying a lead out of an email and into a database entry by hand.
Field mapping
The Title property is the one Notion won't let you leave empty, more on that below.
| Lead Recorder field | Notion property | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| nameField | Title property | Falls back to phoneNumber when blank |
| emailField | Email property | |
| phoneNumber | Phone property | |
| utmSource | Source property | |
| formPage | Page property | |
| submittedAt | Date property |
Setting it up
Build the database with a Title property
Notion databases always have exactly one Title property. Add Email, Phone, Source, Page, and Date as separate properties alongside it.
Add a Formatter step for the fallback
Before the Notion action, add a Formatter step: if nameField is blank, use phoneNumber instead. The Title property can never be empty, so a phone-click lead with no captured name needs somewhere to go.
Open the Zap template and connect both accounts
Use the embed below, or open the template directly on Zapier. Connect Lead Recorder as the trigger and your Notion database as the action.
Send a test lead
Submit a form or click-to-call on your own site and confirm the page lands in the database with every property filled in.
What catches people out
What catches people out
The Title property can never be empty. Notion won't create a page without one, and a phone-click lead often has no captured name to put there. Add a Formatter step before the Notion action that falls back to the phone number when the name field is blank, so the Zap doesn't silently fail on exactly the leads that are hardest to reach any other way.
What it looks like when it's working
Stop copying leads by hand.
