Adding team members and clients

How to invite a team member or client to your Lead Recorder account, what each role can see, and how plan limits apply.

Only the account admin (the person who signed up) can send invites. Go to Team in the sidebar, or leadrecorder.com/team directly.

Team member vs. client

  • Team member: can view every site on the account and mark leads as reviewed. Use this for colleagues who work across your whole account.
  • Client: read-only access to one specific site you choose when you send the invite. Use this for someone who should only see one site's leads.

A client invite is a real login, separate from the no-login share link (see below). Use whichever fits: an invite if they need their own account, a share link if you just want to send a URL.

Step 1: Send the invite

  1. 1On the Team page, enter the person's email address.
  2. 2Choose Team member or Client. If Client, pick the one site they should see.
  3. 3Click Create invite link.

This does two things: it emails the invite to that address automatically, and it shows you a copyable link on screen in case you'd rather send it yourself, over Slack for example. Either one works, and the link expires in 7 days.

Step 2: They accept

The invite link takes them to a sign-up page. Once they create a password, they land in the dashboard scoped to their role: every site for a team member, one site for a client.

Plan limits

  • Free: 1 team member, 1 client
  • Starter: 2 team members, 3 clients
  • Growth: 5 team members, 10 clients
  • Agency: unlimited team members and clients

If you're at your plan's limit, the invite form will tell you to upgrade rather than let you send it.

Revoking access

There's no self-serve remove-a-team-member button yet. Email hello@leadrecorder.com to have someone's access removed.

Prefer not to add anyone as a real login? Share a client a read-only link instead.
